Who makes this

CBLE Simulator is an independent study tool for the U.S. Customs Broker License Exam. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and it is not a licensing school.

Where the questions come from

All 1,261 of them are reproduced from examinations CBP has published, together with CBP's own answer keys, covering 17 sittings from 2018 to 2026. Works of the U.S. federal government carry no copyright (17 U.S.C. §105), which is why every one of them is readable here for free, on its own page, without an account.

What is missing is worth knowing too. CBP voided some questions on appeal and we drop them rather than teach them; others turn on an invoice or entry summary that exists only as an image in CBP's PDF, which we cannot reproduce faithfully; and some we pulled after reading them against CBP's own key and finding the two disagree. A question nobody can answer does not only annoy you — it corrupts the readiness score, which is the number this site exists to produce.

What we write

The explanations — 1,260 of them, each tied to the provision CBP cited. CBP publishes the letter, never the reasoning, and the reasoning is the part that transfers to a question you have not seen. 287 come with a free account; the rest come with access.

They are written by us and they can be wrong. They live in a database rather than in the published pages, which means a correction is an edit, not a release — if you find one that misreads the rule, email it and it is usually fixed the same day. Tell us the question number.

The facts on this site

Exam dates, the fee, the pass mark, eligibility and the published pass rates are checked against CBP's own notices and carry the date they were last verified — currently October 6, 2026. The HTSUS and 19 CFR change between sittings, so always confirm against the edition named in your own exam notice. Where we count something CBP does not publish — how the paper splits across topics, which provisions its answers cite — the count is from CBP's released papers and you can check it against them.

Money

Payment is one-time and handled by Stripe; we never see your card. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel — access ends on the date shown on your account. If you want your money back within 14 days you get it, used or not, without giving a reason.

Support is support@cblesimulator.com. A person reads it, usually the same day.
