What a paid explanation looks like

19 CFR 159.32 keys currency conversion to the date of exportation of the merchandise, so the proclaimed or certified rate in effect on that date is the one applied to a foreign-currency invoice. The date of entry is the common trap because it controls so much else on the entry summary, but for conversion purposes the rate is locked in when the goods are exported, not when they arrive or are entered.

Before you buy
CBP publishes the exams for free. Why pay for this?
Because the free PDFs are questions and a letter. They do not tell you why the letter is right, they are not timed, they are not scored, and they cannot tell you which of your own topics is losing you marks. We have written 1,260 explanations against CBP's own citations — 973 of them come with access — and every mock runs the clock and the pass mark CBP uses. If that is not worth $149 to you, use the PDFs: they are linked at the bottom of every page here, and reading every question on this site stays free.
What do I get that the free pages do not give me?

When does access end?
One sitting runs to the end of the month of the next exam — bought today, that is October 2026. Two sittings runs through April 2027. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel: access simply stops on the date shown on your account.
What happens if I fail?
Published pass rates run 12–30%, so most candidates sit twice. That is what the two-sitting option is for: it covers the next exam and the one after it for $50 more, instead of paying again from scratch.
Are these really CBP's own questions?
Yes. Every question and every answer key on this site is reproduced from an examination CBP published. We write the explanations, not the questions. Items CBP voided on appeal, and items we could not reproduce faithfully from its PDFs, are withheld rather than served.
Can I get a refund?
Full refund within 14 days, no questions asked, even if you used it — email support and we return the payment. If we fail to deliver what this page promises for your tier, you get a refund whenever you ask.
Do I need an account?
Yes, and it takes one click with Google. Access belongs to the account rather than to one browser, so your progress and your access follow you between the laptop you practise on and anything else you sign in from.
What this is not
It is not a substitute for the HTSUS and 19 CFR you must bring to the exam — the paper is open book, and knowing where to look is half the test. And it does not generate questions with AI: every item here was written by CBP and scored by CBP.
