Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)

April 2022 — Question 3

Which entry type is NOT eligible to be corrected by filing a Post Summary Correction (PSC)?

Why this answer

The cited section of the ACE entry summary process document enumerates the entry types that may be corrected through a post summary correction, and under the edition tested the list covers formal entry types, including quota or visa type 02, FTZ type 06, the AD/CVD and quota combination type 07, and warehouse withdrawal type 32, but not informal entries. Type 12, an informal quota entry, therefore cannot be amended by PSC and must be corrected outside that process. Type 32 is the tempting distractor because warehouse withdrawals feel specialized, yet they remain formal summaries within PSC scope; it is the informal character of type 12 that disqualifies it. Watch for: Assuming warehouse or FTZ types are excluded when the true disqualifier is informal entry status.
