Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
April 2023 — Question 26
Which entry type is NOT eligible to be corrected by filing a Post Summary Correction (PSC)?
- AEntry Type 02
- BEntry Type 06
- CEntry Type 07
- DEntry Type 12✓ CBP's answer
- EEntry Type 32
Why this answer
Under the ACE entry summary business rules edition tested, a post-summary correction may be filed only against formal ACE entry summaries of the listed types, which include consumption types 01, 02, 03, 06, and 07 and warehouse withdrawal types such as 32. Informal entries, types 11 and 12, are excluded from the PSC process, so the type 12 informal quota entry cannot be corrected that way and option D is keyed. Every other option appears on the eligible list; types 06, 07, and 32 tempt because FTZ, AD/CVD, and quota entries feel specialized, but informality, not specialization, is what disqualifies. Watch for: Assuming quota, FTZ, or AD/CVD types are excluded rather than informal entries.
