Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)

April 2023 — Question 29

When an Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) entry summary is in TRADE control status, which of the following actions is NOT available?

Why this answer

In ACE, an entry summary remains in trade control until CBP takes control of it, generally at full acceptance with payment. While the summary is under trade control the filer keeps its housekeeping powers: it may delete the record, replace it, and place it on, remove it from, or reschedule it to another daily statement, which disposes of options B through E. A post-summary correction works differently, because it is filed to correct a summary that has already passed into CBP control, so a PSC is not an available action for a summary still in trade control, making option A the keyed answer. Watch for: Forgetting a PSC exists only for summaries already under CBP control.
